Real World in DC in June! City runs out of alcohol and day after pills in July!

realworlddchousreAs many of you may know, The Real World is coming to DC. So now we get a group of pre-herpes twenty something’s coming to town in the summer, only this time instead of calling them “Hill interns” we just have a camera crew follow them and call them “cast members”. It’s exciting to see young people start there career of endless Road Rules Xtreme Challenge’s and drunken nights at West Hollywood’s Cadillac Ranch where they all eventually get a chance to sleep with the cast of Survivor Tocantis, followed by a middle age where the realize they have absolutely no skills that can be applied to a real job.

Luckily they have finally picked a place for filming. 2000 S street NW, in Dupont Circle. It’s also about a 10 minute walk from my house. As you can imagine DC residents are thrilled!

The Dupont Circle Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC2B) is taking the lead to address concerns about the MTV filming at 2000 S Street NW, which is scheduled to start in the next few weeks and finish in November. ANC2B01 Commissioner Mike Feldstein will be closely monitoring the situation to avoid negative impacts on the peace, order and quiet of the surrounding area.

To help address community concerns, a representative of the Mayor’s office will provide an overview of plans for the “Real World” show and answer questions at this week’s ANC2B meeting. The meeting is at 7 PM, Wednesday, June 10th at the Jewish Community Center at 16th Street & Q Streets, NW.

Well OK, maybe thrilled is not the word. I mean its bad enough its intern season. Rest assured I will keep my eyes and ears open for any spottings of our HPV ravaged cast. Of course don’t expect recaps of it, when it airs in the fall. The show sucks.

LOL … Poor EdHill. I JUST missed the experience when they filmed in Brooklyn. The original location was LESS THAN 10 minutes from where I live! I had visions of being vomited upon … umm, greeted by .. drunk “castmembers” on my way home from a productive day at my job. Luckily construction issues interfered with the production schedule and they relocated.

Keep your head up, and your shoes covered Ed and you will be fine!

You may want to bring an umbrella or wear one of those umbrella hats just in case. Good luck! ;)

Well, this site would still do recaps if the writers hadn’t all gotten lives and moved out of their parents’ basements.

Real World MidseasonReplacements sounds like a hoot!

Which character would EdHill be? The drunken jock or the virgin who wants to FINALLY experience … gasp!! .. other cultures?!

By the way, CBS news reported this morning on how 5 .. yes FIVE .. reality shows (that includes Real World) are being planned for the D.C. area. It’s now considered the HOT NEW place to live!

I prayed for EdHill’s sanity when the story was over .. but then I thought how much funnier the recaps would be.

And just think, we’ll get real pics of these locations!

I heard that too, NYShedevil. I read that the Real Housewives of DC is being cast. I didn’t think anything in DC was “real”.

The cookie place on the main floor of Union Station, back near the trains has ‘real’ good cookies. Everytime I come to DC, I make sure to visit there. MMMM. ;)
